I have many educational issues and concerns that interest me. One concern is reaching those students who continually struggle academically in school but are not considered learning disabled and consequently slip through the cracks. I am also interested in building self-esteem in students. Is there a study that correlates high self-esteem with academic success? I find the Internet an incredible educational classroom tool. How that relates to a thesis.. I'm not quite sure.

New ideas to add to my educational concerns:

After discussing one idea concerning students that slip through the cracks, a cohort member suggested that many students have to go through a series of tests before a learning problem is discovered. If parents are not persistent their children may not get the help they need. I could pursue a thesis that evaluates the different learning problems that often go undetected.

Another idea that came to me during dinner break was my love of the English Language. I enjoy teaching grammar, writing and literature, but I'm not quite sure of a thesis topic concerning this subject area. Does anyone have any ideas?
