My Response to Covey

Beth CramerThe greatest way to live with honor is to be what we pretend to be...
Socrates
If Covey could take this quote as his own, he might state "The greatest way to live with honor is to be what we "Practice" to be... I have read many responses that refer to this text as idealistic. I believe it is, but I also believe these Steven Covey ideals are attainable. Steven Covey might better reach his reader by setting up a day to day menu of habits and skills to practice. It is hard to read Covey's statement of principles, and then walk away and apply them to our everyday life. We need to plan, practice, change the plan, fail and possibly start back at the beginning.
