Grading Contract, 11/11/98: The grades that I will be pursuing for the year, 98-99, are: For the "B" section, I will be attending three conferences. One, the Education Minnesota Conference at RiverCenter, St. Paul, on Oct.15, 1998. Two, the ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) Minnesota Fall Conference on Nov. 20-21, 1998 at Bethel College, St.Paul, and three, the Minnesota Music Educators Conference in Minneapolis, Feb.1999. For the "A" section, I will be a member of the TAT team at the high school. The team helps identify students who are having problems, interact with the student, their teachers and parents. I will be having one of my choral groups, the multi age womans choir, perform in the community benefit concerts for local charites. In the spring, 99, the fine arts department will work together to present an open house that will include displays, concerts, recitals and grad rule review of projects for other students, parents and community. I signed up to write an article in the local paper under the cohort forum. Throughout the course I would like to read two books that I have on 1., the history of choral music and 2, the study of singing and vocal production.

Hello Donna!

It appears you are overbooked. Please prioritize your projects, selecting two per special term to earn the A.

Thank you.

Mary Jean: Thank you for the response. I will try to be more selective with my work for the grading contract. For the grading during the fall term I will be attending two conferences, Educ. Mn. and Mn. ACDA for the fulfillment of the A grade. In the winter, I will be a part of the school TAT(Teacher/Student Assistance Team) which is a year long committee and I will attend the MMEA conference for the "A" requirement. In the spring, I will work for the "A" by promoting and directing a concert presented by the multi-age women's choir that I work with as a benefit for local charities and a fine arts interdisciplinary event with school units for performance and grad. standards. I hope this is more defined for the grading contract. - Let me know. Thanks.
