Y2K Compliance of Principal Trading Partners

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

After reading through Yardeni's site, I wondered about the state of Y2K compliance for the U.S.'s principal trading partners. About 65-70% of our total import/export trade is with the following countries:

Canada, Japan, Mexico, China, U.K., Germany, Taiwan, South Korea, France, and Singapore.

Now, aside from general 'gloom and doom', has anyone tried to quantify how each of these countries is doing in its respective remediation efforts, the associated probabilities of success, a general estimate on the potential economic impact of non-compliance for each of the above nations?

The following link gave good information on overall trade numbers, as well as categories of trade goods and associated dollar amounts.
