Sou 1053

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

The 1982 Southern Railway diesel roster on the web page lists 1053 as an NW-2.

Obviously there was a renumbering between the 1948 roster and the 1982 roster.

Is there a way to find out what number this unit was assigned in 1948.

Also, is there any source for finding builders numbers, built dates, etc. for this unit.

While searching for a caboose photo for another question in this forum I ran across a negative of #1053 at Sevier Yard in Knoxville,Tn. It's lettered "MPA" so I assume it was on its way to the "Maryland and Pennsylvania" from TVRM. Any interest in a print?
