Southern Pines Depot

I am doing some research for the Town of Southern Pines (North Carolina) to help in the renovation of our train station. The station was build c1899-1900 by Seaboard Airline Railroad. We are trying to find out the original roofing material and any other information that would help in restoring the building. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

I was looking through a book that I have on railroads in the sandhills of North Carolina, and there is a picture of the Southern Pines depot in the book. The station appeared to have cedar shakes for a roofing material. I think that this must have been fairly common because some old pictures that I've seen of the Hamlet depot appears to have the same roofing material. This would also make sense because they were built about the same time and closely located to each other.
