This was my first serious attempt at wildlife photography. Believe it or not, this was taken with a puny 200/2.8L lens. At one point I was so close to the hare I could touch his ears. Talk about looking non-threatening...

I love the image, simplicity of the background, the look and the selective focus. The image looks slightly dark on my monitor (perhaps it is my monitor). well done.

i agree with bahman; in a world of boring animal portraits, this shot captures the rabbit with an attitude: one of the bad guys from "watership down".a. wayne harrison
