I have recently received approval from the State of Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice to complete a 25 continuing education credit home study course entitled, "Nutrition For Sport And Exercise". The course contains how to counsel athletes and design diets to meet individual needs during training, competition and the off-season. For 1 of my 2 minor projects (due February 26), I would like to complete the course, document my coursework, and present a staff development for the Nutrition Education Assistants in Cluster 9. I will also notify the Nutrition, Food and Health Specialization of extension that I am available to present the information to other groups and will fulfill any commitments that are requested of me to do just that.

In March 1999, South Dakota State University will be hosting their annual nutrition conference. This has been a terrific educational opportunity in the past to learn from experts from around the country, network with colleagues, and receive the latest information in a wide range of subjects concerning food and nutrition. I am planning to attend. For the 2nd of my 2 minor projects (due June 15), I would like to attend the conference, document my learnings and again present the information as part of the staff development offered to Cluster 9 Nutrition Education Assistants. Again, I will notify my extension colleagues that I have information to share and will be happy to provide additional presentations as requested.

I am unsure of how this web page process all works out. Am I to request from you that a web page in my name be set up for me to post my work? Do I need to contact someone else? Please provide me with a bit of guidance on this as I am planning to post my first "Fast Company" article within the next week.

Thanks so much!

Your participation in the conferences is really relevant and your willingness to share the learnings with others is appreciated. Excellent. I suspect you found out about your web questions, before I am answering (and learning how) on the web! Sharon Roseen is really helpful.
