Profiling

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

It certainly comes as no surprise, but I'm wondering if others are as concerned about the so-called "profiling" the government is planning in an effort to monitor checking acount activities? What are your plans to avoid such scrutiny, short of resorting to those check cashing places and their usorious charges? This is something we really need to consider and address.

UMMMMM Given the soi dissant "schedule" for this program, I am not real sure we have to do much except turn over the calendar for this one....

Of course, if it's just a bump in the road, then we'll all become something else...

Please, somebody, e-mail me an explanation of what "profililng" involves. I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. Believe me, if somebody is going to be looking into my checking account, there ain't gonna BE no checking account!!!!!

From what I have read, it appears that they may make all employers use direct deposit, the better to track your money, er, protect you. :)

I plan to look for an under the table cash job. Unfortunately, my wife cannot do that.

If they want to "profile" me, here it is. I get a check, I remove it all, $100 at a time, each day.
