As we discussed previously, it sounds great. Tell us how the meeting goes.

I'm really interested in this idea... what sort of timetable are we talking about? What sort of organization are we talking about? A collective of independents? A bunch of - dare I say it - "employees"?

Timing may be good for me. What kind of time frame are we talking about?

Beware: I am turning into a Java'ite now.

wrt David's comment about Java...

The technical strategy that is going to drive this project is yet to be finalized. Andrew has suggested Bridgepoint (http://www.projtech.com/). This is new for me so I have ordered the evaluation copy and will be checking it out over the next week.

The next step is to get a really good understanding of the data base issues and how they relate to Texaco's needs at this time as well as what our strategy is going to be. The hope is to get Texaco as the first client by helping them achieve the goal of NT Client and single data base.

Once we have figured out what we are going to do on the data base side (specific (Oracle, SQL*Server), generic (ODBC, JDBC, etc) or object)then we can start making a tool decision that will fit and that will support our vision of creating a powerful energy marketing class of objects and knowledge set.

I am all ears...
