What do YOU want to know about water?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi fellow forumites:

My publisher has asked me to finish a long-promised book on water supplies at home (i.e., home made water systems, storage, purifications, the whole ball o'wax)......

If there is something you'd like to know -- something you think HASN'T been covered in other books or forums -- or some special questions or concerns you have that you'd like to see addressed...

Please e-mail me!!!

Thanks for your input!

Anita Evangelista

P.S. I've got to have this finished by Jan 1 '99......

Anita, there's a company called Deeprock Manufacturing that makes well drilling equipment designed for do it yourselfers. Might be interesting to point out that it is possible to drill your own well, cheaper than hiring a pro. I've requested an info packet from them, haven't gotten it yet...

Tom, What a great set of links. Thank you. This is just the sort of thing I have been looking for; Lots of clear information, with diagrams. Again, thanks. Now if I can just figure out how to hook my exercise bike to recharge a bank of batteries, then convert that power to run some devices (in the spirit of many Sci-Fi EOTWAWKI books)...
