How Do I Convert To FLASHPIX?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : FlashPix Format : One Thread

I have a ROb Silvers Photmosaic, used on a yearbook cover for our school. In order to place it on our website, we would like to put it into FLashpix format. Could you tell me if there is a certain program used to do this , is it possible with any imaging program. If there is a program available, or if I am just not looking hard enough for a way to do it, TEL ME HOW! Thanks, Harding Dowell from Sayre School

The best way to convert to Flashpix is to use Live Picture's batch converter. I worked extensively on this to make it fast and it uses the optimized structured storage code I wrote to produce optimized Flashpix files. In optimized Flashpix files, the tile data is mostly contiguous so an intelligent reader can read the data quicker. The batch converter works on JPEG, PhotoCD and tiff files. (I don't think gif is supported.) You can download it for Mac and Windows NT/95/98 from

Hope this helps, Adam
