HELP. 1 YEAR AGO I WAS CHARGED WITH THE TASK OF MOVING MY DEPARTMENT INTO THE REALM OF BEING " SELF DIRECTED ". WITH NO IDEA OF HOW TO DO THIS AND ZERO DOLLARS FOR THE ADVICE OF A CONSULTANT I PLUNGED AHEAD. WE HAVE MADE SOME ADVANCEMENT WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE UNION . NOW MY BOSS WANTS BIGGER AND BETTER RESULTS. I WILL BE GIVEN SOME HARD FOUGHT FOR MONEY TO HIRE A CONSULTANT AND WANT TO GET THE MOST BANGS FOR THE BUCKS , I NEED SOME HELP ON WHERE I SHOULD START THE PROCESS OF GETTING MORE OUT OF THE WORK FORCE. ANY IDEAS ?

Jeff:

We implemented SDWT's about nine years ago and have had good success. We build airplanes and are a non-union shop (approx. 800 employees). We learned alot over the years; we have experimented on our own,we have used consultants - you name it, we have probably tried it.

If any of this sounds like what you're looking for, e-mail me back. Let me know how big your company is, what the company does and any other info you have. Hope I can help.

Amy
