Knowing that the Divine Miss M (Bette Midler) was born and raised in Hawaii, I was wondering about the Jewish history of the Islands. Does anyone know about the Jewish community's history in Hawaii?

Don't know much of the history, but I know of only one synagogue in Hawaii. It is Temple Emanuel on Oahu.
