What's your favourite Hawaiian island? My parents vacation in Maui for a month (February) every year & love the quiet beaches & whale-watching. The golf is expensive, but my Dad plays occasionally.

Answers

For us it's either Molokai or Hawaii. Molokai for the same reason as your parents. The back to nature feeling and to sit along the shore and hear the whales breath or have whales breach 50-100 yards away is why we like Molokai. The Big Island because of the crystal clear water of Kawaihae or the cool air or Waimea which is just minutes away.

My favorite island is KAUAI (especially the North Shore) - it's so incredibly beautiful and very relaxing. Great hikes, great beaches (some often deserted!), great snorkeling.
