Is there a summary of "Time Bomb 2000" available?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Is there somewhere where I can pickup a copy of a synopsis or a summary of "Time Bomb 2000"? I am very concerned about the Y2K problem, but unfortunately I have no time to read an entire book. Please E-mail me with responses. Thank you very much.

Travis,

About the only thing that would come close is the abstract/summary on the Amazon web page for the book.

It really doesn't matter to me whether you read my book, or any one of the two dozen other excellent books on the topic. What does puzzle me, though, is your statement that (a) you're "very concerned" about Y2K, but (b) you "have not time to read an entire book". Seems to me that if a problem is serious enough to make you "very concerned", it would be worth investing a couple of hours to do some homework to find out what to do about it...

Ed,

What kinda shill ARE YA!?!?!?

I guess it's true, ya aint init ta make a bundle afta ahl!!!

Which most of us knew all along, but it might be nice to point it out to some of our bridge dwellers.

Travis There are several excellent summaries around, but I have no time to send you an entire E-mail.

"I am very concerned about the Y2K problem, but unfortunately I have no time to read an entire book."

Wondering; you're "very concerned" but yet have to time for reading a book. Are you "very concerned" about your kids (assuming you have any) and family too?

Do you take time to eat and go to the bathroom? Well, there's time there for you to read.

To summarize the book would take a book and then it wouldn't be done or explain as well as Ed's book. Do your own homework buddy, no one will feed you when SHTF after 2000 either.

Travis, there is no escaping the time drain dealing with Y2K.
If you're really pressed, know that the End of the World we are accustomed to is bearing down like a loco freight train. The effects of Y2K systemic failures may mimic disaster havoc, so get ready for long-term survival of multiple earthquakes, floods, draughts, volcanoes, tornadoes, blizzards, fires, and civil unrest. And then some.

If you can keep your momentum and motivation without reading anything, just go for it. But all around you will find blank gawks, then derisive put-downs should you mention your activities. When you need a support group, the Forum is here (if you can get past the busy servers). Ed's books and video are condensed, helpful, do-able, straightforward approaches to preparation, and well worth the time invested reading.

What could be more compelling to research than your immediate doom?
