On all the Islands, what is the most exciting thing to do in July, that may get me to get my husband to spring for?

It's a tough question to answer as there are so many things to do. It just depends on what you like to do. There is a great event calendar at (http://calendar.gohawaii.com/) by Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau ("HVCB"). You can choose by dates and by events (Visual Arts, Special Events, Land Sports, Performing Arts, Ethnic Events, Ocean Sports, Lectures & Workshops, or Festivals, Parades & Exhibits). Here are some: On Oahu, the Pacific Handcrafters Guild's Summer Art and Fine Crafts Festival (some really neat stuff made in Hawaii) or the Hawaii International Jazz Festival...but the one to get your husband to spring for is the Volcano Run which is a 5 or 10 mile run along the edge of the volcano. There's also a 5 mile walk. Over 1,000 people participate...now depending on how your marriage is going, I would decide on how close to the edge to get ;)))
