On all the Islands, what is the most exciting thing to do in September?

It's a tough question to answer as there are so many things to do. It just depends on what you like to do. There is a great event calendar at (http://calendar.gohawaii.com/) by Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau ("HVCB"). You can choose by dates and by events (Visual Arts, Special Events, Land Sports, Performing Arts, Ethnic Events, Ocean Sports, Lectures & Workshops, or Festivals, Parades & Exhibits). Here are some: On Hawaii, the Aloha Festival or The Queen Liliuokalani Outrigger Canoe Race which is the largest long distance race (2,500 paddlers over 18 miles). Or the Downtown Hoolaulea or Waikiki Hoolaulea which are major block parties with food, music, and dance.
