SAL box 9145 is pictured in the "Orange Blossom Special". What type of boxcar was this? I can't tell from the photo.

Mr.Faulk, you are, of course, correct. I asked a poorly worded question. I intended the OBS to identify the publication. SAL 9145 is lettered "The Route of Courteous Service." Thanks for your help with the ID of this car. And thanks for YOUR terrific book.

This car (based on your number) would have been a 50 foot double door boxcar built by Pullman-Standard in 1947. These cars were used primarily in gypsum board service.

The lettering is a bit of an enigma. I thought these cars were delivered in the "Route of Courteous Service" scheme. I'll try to look at the book and see what I can determine.
