Need Tilia FOODSAVER vacuum bags!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I have a tilia foodsaver vacuum machine but now need to locate more bags. I tried to use other bags but it didn't vacuum out the air well at all. Anyone know of a reasonably priced source? My sams and walmart do not carry them. Thanks in advance!

Believe it or not, you can call Tilia toll free at 800-777-5452. Their number was in very fine print on the side of the box.

And they have the best price, too.

Best of luck.

Believe it or not, you can get the bags at Walmart or (sometimes) Costco.

I know this is not an answer to your question about additional bags, but I am having a problem with bags sealing somewhat similar to the demo on TV as oof yet I am not completely pleased although the concept can sasv one money. Any suggestions?

Larry,

Do you have the Tilia Foodsaver vacuum sealer? I have one and they seal just like the tv infomercials show. I tried another brand of vacuum sealer and it was awful. If you have the foodsaver and it isn't working, contact Tilia before your warranty expires.

I have put mild cheddar cheese and Country ham slices in vacuum sealed bags, they are still doing great! They have been sealed for almost 4 months. Product tastes great when I check them (once a month).

Costco has a box of 4 rolls (2X8" & 2X11") for a price of $28.99

Larry, Sometimes if you don't get a good seal at the bottom of the bag, you don't get a good vaccum. I double seal the bottom and don't have a problem. Also if you are trying to seal something that has juice in it, you need to put it in a wide mouth jar instead of a bag, because the sealer draws the "juice" and won't seal the bag properly.

Try appliancesales.com Their prices beat tilia's (suresource.com) and they are "foodsaver" bags.
