money in the bank after 2000

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Assuming that information at my local bank will be corrupted, and that my account may be inaccessible, will this be a permanent problem or will I eventually be able to recover my money? Should I remove my funds or is there a reason to believe it will be available after a period of chaos?

Troll or Newbie- that is the question.

It's you money, do what you want with it. While you can that is. Eventually something will happen (economic collapse? your death?) to disable you from doing what you want with your money. When? Dunno. For possible y2k effects on your money see previous threads in the archives. It's been done to death here on this forum already.

Take your chances! It is all a roll of the dice. The Bankers etc. have been gambling with our money/lives for a long time now! "And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:"
