About the K&P - This is a real long-shot, but it could be the "Kingston & Pembroke". This was a small Canadian road that ran from Kingston, Ontario to Renfrew, Ontario via Sharbot Lake. It eventually became a part of the Canadian Pacific. Piecemeal abandonment began in the late 1950's with the last segments (the extreme north and south ends)going sometime in the 1970's. It's a recreational trail today, administered by the Mississippi (no not that Mississippi - the Canadian Mississippi!) Valley Conservation Authority.

ARR is the reporting marks for the Alaska RR. I have no idea about the K&P RR lock. E-mail the guys at LANTER,LOCK,& KEY, they may be able to help.
