Worse than Y2K

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

The pundits have said that Clintons crimes have damaged the Presidency. To the contrary, the Presidency has never been stronger. The President can execute Executive orders, or direct his appointees without that fig leaf of accountability, to implement policies that become the law of the land. He can without penalty ignore or violate constitutionally mandated laws, or laws passed by the constitutionally convened Congress. It is the Legislative Branch of government that has been damaged, perhaps irreparably, by the GOP Senators who have refused to defend it in their votes today.

God granted men their inalienable rights, but it is the Constitution of the United States that is the guarantor of government restraint. Post-Clinton, this certification is expired, null and void. Reestablishment the Constitutional rule of law, and impartial justice under the law, must be ground zero for a new political party. Now is the time for conservative leaders to LEAD the way. Now is the moment for these gentlemen and women to lead an exodus from the Republican Party.

If you have not done so read the history of the rise of Hitler and the methods he used to consolidate his power. The parallels between Nazi Germany and changes implemented by our own government since George Bush occuppied the White House are indeed scary. I site as just one example the blending of the military and civilian police forces in recent years.

This scares me more than Y2K but then again a Y2K of 8 to 10 may be the only thing that can stop our headlong rush into tyranny.

I don't think Clinton is headed for tyranny. The US is turning into a "multi-national" country. Right now, Congress is thinking seriously about giving amnesty to 600,000 Haitians & South/Central Americans. This seems to be happening quite often now. The issue is discussed here, for the interested:

It is reasonable to think that people will bring their "culture" to the US. I know my Italian grandparents did (to the chagrin of most present residents).

There is a difference now, though - now there is an increasing trend to not "melt", but "celebrate our differences". In my grandparents time, there was a concerted effort in this country to teach immigrants to "be like americans". This included language, speech and food, mostly.

I think that a more probable scenario is the break-up of the US into ethnic enclaves or a US that increasingly falls under the UN. Increasingly, there is nothing to hold the US together. We have seen in recent years what the Constitution is worth...

calmly, gentlemen, calmly, God Willing by this time next year the fedgov will be discovering all those systems they thought would be too troublesome, and so declared to be not mission critical, are in fact desperately needed and totally unavailable.

the feds may yet hoist themselves on their own petard...which is a really neat trick if you know where that phrase originated.

No, but Monica won't be needed any more.

Well, what to make of this? Kingsville, TX.,dark-30. A flock of Army Helicopters roars into town with no warning to the population at a low enough altitude to take out a power line in the process. Citizens are terrified to hear full automatic gunfire and grenades exploding over the roar of chopper blades and the scream of jet turbines. Powder flashes and flames illuminate the night as richochets and schrappnel scream through the air. Wait... LIVE AMMO? THese as...... were firing live ammo in the dark amongst completely uninformed civilians? In Texas? Yep, reports from town citizens say buildings were riddled with bullet holes and windows blown out. A reporter on the scene had his camera confiscated. Where IS the mainstream media on this story? But wait, there's more. Kingsville Tx. is so named because of it's proximity to the hugely famous King Ranch, which has multiple ties to the Exxon Oil co. King Ranch has been actively recruiting "hired Guns" including militia, mercenary, and off (or on) duty police officers for a private security force. Being a Texan I can unequivically staate that if unknown parties start disharging machineguns and grenades outside my house at night they will recieve return fire. Now presumably most if not all of that private security force accumulated by King Ranch live in Kingsville. Given the constant pressure the gov.org has been putting on militia groups and patriots what are the odds this whole mission was calculated to erupt into a gun battle between locals and the military?

Nik,

Read the article. If my paranoid meter had not pegged out several years ago, this would certainly do it.

We all have to get out info in bits and pieces.

Exaggerations and distorted generalities by Clinton-attackers damage their own credibility.

You'd have a stronger case if you stuck to the facts.

I did stick to the facts. Drop over to Frugal Squirrells site and check out the Patriot forum. There is ongoing research and reporting on this story not being reported anywhere but on the shortwave radio programs.

No Spam,

Sorry, but your "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" routine won't wash with us. Just because Dan Rather doesn't report it, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. And I find Nikoli's deep background intriguing; unliike you, I have no compulsion to sweep it under the rug.

The King Ranch-employee connection undercores the fact that ALL these "exercises" are happening to INTIMIDATE the citizens, they are PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS to induce a sense of helplessness and submission in the population. Think about it: NBC terrorist attacks take a van full of people to execute, max. ONE PERSON could do the damage that these thousands of Marines are supposed to be preparing to respond to. Thousands of Marines to chase down a van full of killers? Who are they preparing to conquer and subdue in the aftermath? Read the executive orders that pertain to such an emergency: they have identified the "enemy," and it is US! These "exercises" are happening in Oakland, too - all over America. The line that Marines are merely training for overseas urban combat is twaddle; they are training to invade American cities:

The Vigo Examiner:

"On May 5, 1998, the U.S. Marine Corps begane combat training in Chicago. Marine officers from Camp Lejune, NC, began to map the city's infrastructure, including all streets, bridges, rooftops, and key buildings. After Chicago, other cities are to be thoroughly mapped by the military. The mapping is the first step in planned domestic combat training in several American cities, and would be vital to the military in the event of the declaration of Martial Law or some other 'National Emergency'."

They are not going to show up to dig us out of the rubble or hand out teddy bears to frightened children. This is their description of what they do: http://www.acq.osd.mil/at/mout.htm

The military is a weapon. For all of our history, that weapon has been pointed away from us, at our enemies. Now we find it pointed at our heart.

My comment was not addressed to Nikoli.

E.,

How did you arrive at the conclusion that my comment was directed to Nikoli? I wrote about "Clinton-attackers". Nikoli's posting never mentions Clinton. Neither does Greybear's, Lobo's, Chris's, or Arlin's. Anonymous99's mention of Clinton doesn't fall into the category of Clinton-attacking.

The only posting in this thread to which my comment could reasonably be construed to be directed is the one that started the thread.

Nikoli,

As I wrote in another thread, read it again 'til you get it right.

N.S.P.

fact: clinton perjured himself by lying to the grand jury.

fact: the senate perjured itself by lying in failing to convict him.

fact: in accomplishing the above the government has abrogated it's legitimacy.
