Who's "on the edge" of new music today? Why? What about old music? Any interesting trends? Disturbing trends?

Nope. Neve heard of "sparks." If it's 70's style groove rock, I just might dig it.

Lately I've been really digging the Sugarcubes. That Bjork is truly phenomenal, and the drummer isn't half bad either. Another thing on my turntable is Miles Davis' _Pangea_. That rocks. It is neither jazz nor rock, funk nor fusion. It's all of the above and more, pure Miles.
