Who's "on the edge" of new music today? Why? What about old music? Any interesting trends? Disturbing trends?

Nope. Neve heard of "sparks." If it's 70's style groove rock, I just might dig it.Lately I've been really digging the Sugarcubes. That Bjork is truly phenomenal, and the drummer isn't half bad either. Another thing on my turntable is Miles Davis' _Pangea_. That rocks. It is neither jazz nor rock, funk nor fusion. It's all of the above and more, pure Miles.
