How to make big utility suppliers (telecommunications, gas, power) answer my request concerning Y2K of such giants? Sent several letters to several company levels already in November, Dezember and January without any reply.

Sorry, there doesn't seem to be a legal way of forcing them to answer your request. So if you can't threaten them with cancelling the contracts - sue them afterwards...
