How to get the printed version of the Senate report

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

If you want a bound, printed copy of the Senate report, you can get it from the Government Printing Office for a total cost of $16. Their direct line for this is:

202-512-1800

Drew,

Thanks for the info.

$16? wow! I quickly made calculations as to what it cost me to print and bond my copy and offered to do it for Linda for $10. I expected it would cost less done in large numbers. Is the gov. trying to make a buck here on what we should know?

I have no idea if they're trying to make a buck or not. I imagine it's just standard operating procedure, ie, they have a fixed cost schedule or something... Beyond that, I be a clueless wonder on this one...

Our capitalist federal government. Pretty amusing, huh? :)

I strongly suspect that you did not offer to bind it the way they will.

I think I'd prefer to get a copy from Chris--easier to separate the pages when the toilet paper runs out (chuckle). Chris, if you could get the thing printed with soy ink on rice paper, it would be edible.
