Stumbling interview about Y2K.

Can't these guys do Better?

If this was the same "Larry King Live" aired at 9:00 pm EST in the US, the interview was mostly about the paranormal & UFOs. Larry seemed to know so little about Y2K that Art Bell seemed to steer clear (to Larry King's relief).

Yeah, just seen it here in Oz. He didn't have much to say about y2k. Although Art's a good talker and comes across as a credible guy, the fact that he routinely deals with "incredible" topics doesn't help establish y2k as a serious problem for the mundane parts of life. It would be unfortunate if y2k were pigeon-holed in peoples' minds as just another kooky-spooky Art Bell topic. So maybe it's best he didn't go on about it too much.

I watched that whole hour with Bell & King. Much of the schtick looked to be prearranged. I know Bell is very familiar with Y2K issues, he's had Gary North on his show more than once. King did not get where he is by being stupid, either. For whatever reason, they were just playing with the Y2K issue.

Tom, I'd say that Larry King is fairly stupid.
