What happens if the worst is true?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

What happens if they actually do come for our guns? What happens if they do try to force us to relocate? I'm a mild mannered artist. I spend my days making business cards and newsletters. I'm not a radical. I'm just trying to make a living. What happens though?

I'm scared out of my mind. If worldnetdaily is right... I thought black helo's were a myth until recently. I thought a lot of things couldn't happen. If the worst does happen, what the hell are we going to do?

True preparation calls for us to plan for all possible contingencies (within reason). Unfortunately, a takeover is possible. I don't know what's right anymore.

Don't worry, sir, for the WORST WILL HAPPEN!

I'm not joking. Please get prepared before the stock market crashes. And it will...TOTALLY COLLAPSE!

Don't worry. If you have faith in God, then He will help you through this mess. Help your family, friends and neighbors. Prepare NOW!

Shi...I mean stuff happens. Get ready for some fun...Adventure! Bummers! We know! Do you?

Prepare as best you can and keep your eyes and ears open!

Be wise!

Most people have been sitting on their bummers for a long time and I think it is a good thing that they are starting to say..."What the hey...?

Fortunately (unfortunately?) I don't have any money in the market. I have spent the majority of my "spare" (no money is really spare) on range fees and hand loading costs. Personally, I do think the worst will happen. I think that, given a chance, our "friends" at the top will take advantage of any opportunity. I'm just trying to come to terms with what happens if/when that knock at the door comes...

There will be no fun times. There will be no happiness. Great sorrow shall prevail, and many will cry streaming tears. Multitudes will die, and many shall cry out to God for mercy. Are you laughing in scorn? Beware of your folly! Hard times are ahead. Prepare NOW!

D, Remember most mandatory evacuations (with the Japanese Internment being the only exception I know of) are not really mandatory. They will not carry you away. If you're willing to accept the consequences of staying and being on your own, just don't go. If you're not extremely well prepared with food, fuel, water, etc., you're probably going to be better off at ClubFed (courtesy of Online2much).

You have to give all the facts!

(1 Chr 17:9 KJV) "Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,"

We will not be moved from this place. Amen! Let me hear it again! Do I hear an Amen?

And why would 'they' bother?

The average American pays 50% of their income in taxes to pay for actions they don't condone. We keep breeding more slaves without stop, giving up every day in every way any shred of freedom we ever had.

No slave holder in the world ever worked his holdings so efficiently.

Why should 'they' change anything willingly?

What's right is that your CYA! Quit whining and take care of your survival business. Don't be a sheeple that will be herded off to the barracks unless you like that kind of lifestyle.

d; Quietly prepare one orderly step at a time each and every day. As you progress, you will find that you will become less fearsom and more relaxed. Best wishes,

"Don't be a sheeple that will be herded off to the barracks unless you like that kind."

I'm not a sheeple. That's the point of my post. My family has prepared. We continue to prepare to greater levels. My post is largely dealing with the possibility that our wonderful gov. will become insistant about certain things...

My family and I have taken care of the basics (and then some). As nice as that is, there are even more things to worry about than the basics. If things happen the way that they might, all the rice in china won't save us.

You can say that it hasn't happened here (except for those darn Japanese) but we haven't ever faced this situation before. We may be the Japanese (a threat to national security).

My questions is still, "what happens then?"

Be resistant to things that go against your grain as a citizen of the US. It is good that you are prepared and are still preparing, that should give you some peace of mind. Don't worry about the government and what they would or could do to you History can and will often times repeat itself, but haven't some of us learned from history? BTW who is this government? I thought it was we the people....or is it? I don't know too many people who trust their government officials, so that tells me whose side they are on. Thank God people are stocking up on firearms and ammo.....

-- bardou (bardou@baloney.com), March 06, 1999.

~~ D For God's sake, calm down! One can not think clearly when they are in the state of mind you are. Good, much better. Now, you have very little time to prepare. Take the above advice. One step at a time. First asses your risks. Then make a list of STUFF to reduce those risks. Then go get them. If this thing goes south, you won't have to worry about the government, you will have to worry about the people next door or down the street.

d,

Let me take a shot at answering you question -"what happens then?"

It will get tough

What willl happen is that many will bow their heads to the masters. And those who do truly will have masters for they will willingly have made themselves slaves.

For the rest: Every man and woman will be tried in some of the harshest trials to be seen in our (post WWII) world. These trials will come in many forms and at different times. I believe we are living at at time that will reshape the world we live in. What will the new shape be? I don't know.

The tree of Liberty may sprout new limbs and flourish in the new future. I doubt this will be without some agony. For either way there are those who would deny our Liberties. They will not easily desist their efforts.

The tree of Liberty may be cut to the ground. But only afer the blood of many good men and women have been spilled. That blood will nourish the underground roots and who knows when and how it may sprout again.

Either way we are in for some severe tests. Physical preparations aside, all I know to do is to steel myself, think on the Blessing of Liberty delivered to me and strenghten my resole to do all that I can to pass as many of these Blessing on the next generation.

You cannot enslave a free man, the most you can do is kill him.

Let me get this straight. You don't want them to take you guns. You don't wish to be jammed in a barracks (built for 300) with 900 other 'citizens'. You don't want to give up your food. You don't want to be seperated from your family. What kind of decent law abiding citizen are you to refuse the proceeds of the efforts of those 'who know better?. After all, doesn't the government have our best interests at heart? Don't Bill and Hillary "feel our pain'?

The only consoling statement I can make is that I don't see how FEMA can take care of 50 or 60 million sheeple. The logistics would be absolutely incredible. If you are worried about your guns, make sure they are unregistered and hide them babies. The little farmers in VN were quite successful against all the US Army could do (and that was quite a lot). However, if they're registered, then you better have a good story as to where they went because you WILL be asked. Just calm down and think what you can do to alter the odds.

PS They most likely will not ask you to come to their party unless you are an apartment dweller or live in a tract house within the city. If you live in an area that possibly be self sufficient. they will most likely take you at your word when you say NO.

The worst? You die, and you get to do it all over again.

or

The best? You die, and it's a long, peacefull, silent non-existance.

-- Alison Tieman (fearzone@home.com), March 07, 1999.

Alison,

If you're having a non-existence how do you know it's peaceful and quiet?

-- Greybear (greybear@home.com), March 07, 1999.

Scotty,

You say: "D For God's sake, calm down! One can not think clearly when they are in the state of mind you are. Good, much better. Now, you have very little time to prepare."

I must be missing something. Since when does a person exhibit an out of control state of mind by simply asking a valid question about potential government action? Need I remind us all of what has been going on in Michigan with its Y2K consultant Mr. Fritsh (sp?). Do the Night Stalker and Delta Force "war games" recently ended in Texas have any bearing on what may be planned? What do the people of the town of Andrews have to say about the arrogant occupation of their community by various enforcement arms of the government?!

I'm not taking the position that all govenment is bad government, but when it comes to us in the form and forums we have recently read, it does give one reason to wonder out loud.

The question that d poses, is almost rhetorical, in that the signs are there. What is missing is the government being up front with its citizens. Rather, it takes a Bresnahan (WorldNetDaily/TalkUSA) to do the investigative reporting to expose the truth.

Keep the faith.

BW

All you folks worried about the government. I don't trust government in theory or practice, but black helicopters and knocks on the door aren't something I plan to worry about. I've read mention of rounding up 50/60 million people. Yeah, right. They might if they could but they can't so they won't. Last count for the US was 5 times that, I believe. "Sheeple" (lovely term) number well over 60 million. Don't pity them/us for what the government might do. Pity the government if it comes to that. If it can't keep things going well enough to avoid such action it certainly isn't going to be able to manage a project of that scope. If things break down that far it won't be loud.
