US Map of Nuclear Power Stations???greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
I hate to start a new thread; but I have gone through the previous utility threads and found nothing.A few weeks ago whilst I was scouring websites I found one that had a map of the US illustrating the locations of all the Nuclear Power Stations. I showed it to my husband at the time, but didn't print it off. He now wants a copy to show someone at work who is starting to take some interest. I have searched and searched and cannot come up with it.
I just thought on the off-chance that someone here might know the location of any maps on any other Y2K sites.
Thanking you in advance.

Here's a state-by-state list of nuclear power plants. It's from a different part of the site with the map:http://www.nrc.gov/AEOD/pib/states.html

Here's something else I found at the NRC site. I happen to live downwind (about 250 miles?) from the plant at this link:http://www.nrc.gov/AEOD/pib/reactors/483/483toc.html

Kevin, you lucky dog! I live about 20 miles from Oconee reactor 1, 2 and 3. Plus this plant has a erratic record with reactor 2 spending more time down than up for various reasons (most of them steam line leaks or bad monitoring system for cooling). Hey! One good thought. If it goes, I won't have to worry about how much fuel I have left for the Alladins. I'll be able to read by the glow.
