Do you need parts for your Petromax lantern? Better gasket for pump available.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I recently purchased a Petromax lantern off the shelf at Cabela's a mail order firm that has factory outlet stores in Nebraska. Packed with the lantern were written instructions in all english text that explained how to operate and care for the lantern. I answered a previous thread on pump problems stating that a new improved leather gasket was available from the supplier. I was told that the new gaskets and other lantern parts are available and shipped the same day as they are ordered.

If anyone is interested, the company that supplies cabela's is: GENIOL USA INC. 8220 Leo Kidd Ave. Port Richey, FL 34668 Phone numbers are: 1-800-856-3045 or 727-846-7504 or fax#727-846-8569 E-mail address: geniol@gte.net

Hope this helps anyone needing Petromax lantern parts. TJ

On the subject of Petromax, their stove might be something to look into also. The BIG advantage is that it can burn darn near anything that is liquid and flamable. After all, who knows what fuels will be available in the future? Plus it's generator will not wear out like the Coleman. It looks rinky-dink but is supposed to be sturdy enough to hold a dutch oven.

Hi, Folks!!

Sorry you fellas couldn't get the parts from Geniol, USA. That's one of the reasons my fiance' (who was the founder of Geniol, USA) broke away from the company. He couldn't put up with the lack of customer support, and difference of opinions on pricings of the products.

Don't worry, though.....I have the parts in stock (or will get them for you as soon as possible), and will send the washers to you. I have the exact same washers available. Unlike Geniol, USA.....I DON'T CARE WHERE you bought your lantern. If you need help or parts....we're here. You've got over 30-years experience in technical support for these products, versus, approximately 3 - 4 years experience. "Eddie" knows these products inside and out, and doesn't care how long it takes over the phone to assist you. Heck....we even call you back so you're not using your dime. We also do REPAIRS, on old lanterns & new lanterns.....NO MATTER WHERE you bought them. Price for repairs....$8.00 flat fee, plus parts cost. If you have one of the old, old lanterns, and just want us to take a look at it, or get it running (unless it needs parts), then, it's NO CHARGE. Parts are inexpensive, so you're only charged for the parts that's needed. Eddie DOES NOT put any extra unneeded parts (like the other guys do), unless you request it.

If you are having a problem, please don't hesitate to contact me, and we'll get you up and running. No problem.

We do apologize for Geniol, USA's unethical attitude, so, don't let that deter you decision to purchase these products. We have made a promise to all of you to do the best we can to get these products to you, and be available to assist you. I WILL keep that promise.

Keep Smiling!!
