Tropicana Juice Train

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

I'm an HO modeler planning to model the RF&P 1960 till CSX. I'm very interested in learning more about the Tropicana Juice Train. Is there a book available on this subject? Have there been any magazine articles written? What about HO models and decals (white or orange scheme)? Any information on this distinctive train's consist, history, and operations would be most appreciated.

Thank you very much, Chelsea C. White, IV Ann Arbor, MI cheri458@aol.com

Chelsea, A couple of months ago Trains Magazine ran a special on the Juice Train. The article covered the operating aspects of the Juice Train and had some good pictures of the Tropicana equipment. I hope that this can be of use to you. Justin Dzan

Back around 1993-94?, Railroad Model Craftsman had an article or two on modeling the Tropicana Juice Train. As I recall the article(s) discussed history, available models or the lack thereof, paint schemes, decals, etc. You might try locating backissues of that magazine for modeling ideas, etc. Good Luck.
