Mail Processing Technology(I'll post a msg tomorrow)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I've seen several questions about postal this and that down the board after all you rat bastards thumped on Flint . For the record, the cancellation mark on your mail piece is manually changed every day by persons like my self. I'm too shitfaced now to post a lucid reply. I'll try very hard and give a proper discussion on this topic in the PM tomorrow. I will walk you through the process by which your mail goes from point A to point B.

Thank God for rum. It takes the edge off the situation. And since I started drinking again I have not cracked any more teeth. However my head hurts in the AM.

Like the Grey Bear says, Got Hooch?

High Nine,

How does one fix fiddely flaws reliably while intermittently inebriated or suffering headaches?

Looks like the Postal Service has a Y2High problem!

Not disgruntled, well adjusted. And for the record, I've got an M-16A1 carbine. And the hoops I had to jump through to get the SOB would make you have a case of the red ass which would not go away.BTW in the USA, a legal AK-47(The machinegun, not a semiautomatic wannabe) runs in the neighborhood of five thousand dollars. Which is why when I go to the shoots the majority of the people there are doctors, lawyers, real estate types. They are the only ones who can afford the toys. BTW, a transferrable STEN from WWII runs about 2k. They only cost about $3.00 to make during the war. Talk about markup! Did I mention the $200.00 federal tax you pay each time these things get transfered? Don't make me crack my teeth. More Grog, I need more Grog.

Yes- I have been wondering what's up with the Post Office and Y2K- I asked at my local post office and they said they don't have a clue- nobody tells them nuttin- so- any info on it?? The amount of stuff that is dependant on mail being delivered is way up there in my opinion.(Though I wouldn't miss the junkmail.....)
