black special ops helicopters over WV,OH,PA 3/17

Has anyone heard anything about 12 black helicopters doing maneuvers in this area last night? They were heard and seen at tree level in the Stubenville, OH, Weirton, WV, and PA counties. Heard a report on the news (radio) that they were out of Vienna, OH. Any info, much appreciated.

They DO have to train the fly-boys and fly-girls. Probably not a Y2K related occurance of any type. Mr. K ***lives 15 miles from National Guard and noisy flight patterns for 12 years***

Mr K,

Of course, training for our military is needed. That's not questioned at all!

The question is where they train....there are plenty of areas to train without training in civilian areas. Granted if you live near a military base or in a flight path, civilian or military, things tend to get noisy. But what people have noticed more and more recently is training going on in civilian, populated areas at low altitudes without any identifying markings on the aircraft.

JSJ,

This was mentioned today at: http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a36f13b295c61.htm

Thanks for a link, Texan

On one of the posts, a person stated:
I was in the Navy, stationed aboard the Destroyer Elliot. We were patrolling the Persian Gulf in91/92. --SNIP-- No big conspiracy to take over the world, just out on exercises in U.S. scaring the bejeebers out of the locals. Secrecy breeds suspicion.

It is rather intimidating to be "buzzed" by the formations only 150' to 200' overhead when it has not been a practice before. There is new technology that is being tested out lately also, with infra-red devices and optical scanners. I would suspect that some of the practices are to use these devices. (Perhaps for observing "riotous conditions in residential areas out of "range").We can read ANYTHING into military maneuvers, but we'll not know the real reasons for some of the drills. That's not how the military operates.

Next time they buzz over your house get some bug spray and give it to em up the butthole with it!!

better idea, when they next come over and you want to see what they are doing, take out a stinger missile and shoot the mother RIGHT out of the sky!!!! Then go to the dead pilot and kick his head in and say 'if you don't tell me what you are doing in that black helicopter I will kill you." And he will probbly say "I refuse to tell you cause its no longer black it is silver and smashed and covered with my blood so it is now a red hellicopter." And then you tell him he is an evil son of a bitch and kill him.

and when you sell the roylaies to your book about feedo give some to me JERRY!!

jsj & Mr. K,

Here are some fresh links from the area newspapers on the Army Special Ops training exercise 1999-03-18 flyby in semi-rural and rural areas of Western PA.

1) Westmorland County newspaper (Greensburg Tribune Review): http://www.triblive. com/frames/rhfram.html

2) Allegheny Country newspaper (Pittsburgh Post Gazette): http ://www.post-gazette.com/regionstate/19990319close4.asp

The Pittsburgh TV news last night reported that exercise "Laser Cup" involved 12 Special Forces helicopters. There were conflicting reports on 2 different stations concerning the routing (as well as conflicting reports from the 2 newspaper links provided above): one broadcast reported a route from Morgantown, WV to Youngstown, OH; another reported a route from from Youngstown, OH to Uniontown (Fayette County), PA.

I'm more accepting of the Youngstown-Fayette County reporting simply because such routing would normally involve the localities and counties where middle of the night scares were reported to the authorities. The Morgantown to Youngstown route would infer a wide semi-circular detour well to the east to involve the reported incidents in Westmorland County, PA.

Comment: My wife is a Director of Nursing for a facility in Westmorland County. Many of her staff reported being quite frightened at 3:00-3:15 AM with houses shaking, etc. This is heresay, but they also reported clearly seeing the choppers flying just over tree top level, which is well below the 500-1000 ft. levels reported by Army Special Ops officer from Ft. Bragg (evening TV news).

BTW, some cities in the southwestern PA area had a similar experience as that of Kingville, TX a couple of years back with Army Special Ops in the middle of the night; Re Special Forces choppers & troops, explosions, gunfire...all part of an "urban warfare" training exercise. I remember it well because it also took residents and municipal authorities by surprise. With all the reported special ops urban warfare exercises being reported in various areas nationwide, I'm surprised that some residents haven't reacted with gunfire of their own. IMO, it's just a matter of time.
