Sanyo yanks a "Y2K compliant" logo from a plastic cutting board. We tell you why.

Something seems a little fishy. That cutting board is probably the most famous cutting board in the history of man. A great marketing move. Why pull the joke? I wonder if they are concerned that the humor will wear a little thin if some of Sanyo's flagship electronics are glitched-up.

Maybe they should have put out a rider - board not guarenteed to be compliant with any software specifications including but not limited to those pertaining to Year 2000 issues.

Yeah, they can be real freeky about it kind of like Time-Warner's little lead balloon that an astute poster pointed out last week. But it's gone this week! Time-Warner attorneys must be afraid, very afraid, not to mention indecisive. Maybe Time-Warner and Sanyo have the same law firm who has not clue as to what they're doing.

Gee, that's significant news!!!!!

I'm relieved to see that their Cordfree Cheese Grater is still Y2k-compliant. :-)
