Bear Valley soups are great, expirations to 2002

I've been stocking Bear Valley dried soups as a lunch type of staple. They are stored in a metal can, are cheap, $6.99 at Costco in the 34 srvg size, taste great and best of all, their expirations are out to 2002. Happy shopping. BTW Costco was completely out of their 25 lb bags of pinto beans, generators and the rice pile was kind of thin. Glad I shopped early. Could be a coincidence or not...

Believe Sam's also stocks Bear Valley soup. If not BV, then a similar brand. Sam's has Tone's dried mushrooms too, have used in soups, very good and fast to reconstitute.

Albertson's grocery stores carry it in Idaho as well. Albetson's is in most western states and supposedly has gone into Florida, but I can't vouch for what stores in other states carry.

We like the potato soup the best and often add peas to it. You could always add whatever else you wanted, I think it makes a good base.
