Where can I find a list of Mac Scanners?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Sure would love to have something like the Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart Film Scanner. Is there anyplace out there where I can look for things that I'm sure are available for a Mac?

thanx

CompUSA stores throughout the U.S. sell all kind of Mac periferals, including scanners. The internet also can help you. Check the following web sites oriented to the Mac:

http://www.zones.com/mac_zone/default_mac.htm http://www.warehouse.com/MacWarehouse/ http://www.cc-inc.com/home.asp

I have a UMAX Vista S6 scanner that uses SCSI to connect to my Mac and it does a very good job. There are several new scanners that use USB to connect to the new Macs like the iMac and the new G3 (blue and white Macs). I don't know what type of connection you need but to connect your Mac but that is something that you should be aware.

Good luck,

Check out the followiing web site http://www.halftone.co.uk/tech/index.htm I assume you are looking for film scanners. This is the most complete film scanner review I have found and should provide a good starting point
