Oops in NJ food stamps- Y2k glitch

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just saw in todays paper (AP article) that due to a faulty Y2k fix, food stamp recipients in New Jersey were able to access April's food stamp benefits a week and a half early. Technicians were reported "scrambling" Sunday nite to fix it. Oh well- at least we know they're working on it in NJ.!

And how many power plants and water systems have been tested complient to date? How many state and county governments are ready? How many cities over 750,000 are ready? Over 500,000? Over 250,000?

That 250,000 citizens requiring services - and how many are ready? You'd think some would be - somewhere?
