Some kind of Y2K documentary award?

This seems to be an unfinished S.F. Gate story listing newsmedia awards.

Documentary or series of reports: WBUR-FM, Boston, Bruce Gellerman and Sam Fleming, for ``City Stories''; WCAL, Northfield, Minn., ``For Kids Sake''; KTAR Radio, Phoenix, Jayme West for ``Y2K: The Final Countdown.''

Anyone ever hear of that report/documentary?

Diane,

Here's the link to KTAR's Home Page:

http://www.ktar620.com/

On their Home Page there are five Y2K segments that can be listened to with RealPlayer software.

diane, just wanted to tell you i really appreciate all the work you do in educating this forum. how you find the time, i don't know.

Thanks Kevin,

Jayme West's special Y2K report ...

Part 1 - General Overview
Part 2 - Being Prepared
Part 3 - Effects on Utilities
Part 4 - Banks, Airports & Defense
Part 5 - Final Countdown

Now if it will only work with my Real Player 2.0!

Diane

(jocelyne, Thanks. I keep telling myself, Im not going to spend as much Y2K search time. Oh, well. I operate by link synchronicity and intuitively asking guidance where I should flow to check things out. Seems to work for me, and leads 'n clues, for the most part, go faster).

Thanks for the link, Diane. A really well-done piece of radio reportage, and it even uses dc Talk's "Time is Ticking Away" as its theme. Yes!

My thanks to you, too, Kevin. You've contributed a great deal of very valuable info to this forum over the past few months!

Diane,

You can download RealPlayer 5.0 at no cost from this link:

One note, everyone:

KTAR has only provided the first report as a RealAudio file, despite the list of reports they offer. All the links point to "http://www.datadr.com/y2kpunt1.ram".

Hmmmm... "y2k punt 1"? As in "When in trouble, punt!"? 8-}]

Still a good intro...

Thanks Mac! Will "e" the station later.

Wish I "could" download RP Kevin. I have an older Mac which doesn't have a floating point something-er-other, so it won't run Real Player versions over 2.0.

Guess I remain audio challenged.

Got transcripts?

Diane
