I was wondering if anyone out there had any old photos taken in Boykins,Virginia of trains passing thru or the old depot as it stood beside the rails before it was moved? Any snapshots at all would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me and let me know what you have and I will pay for copying cost.

In William E. Griffin Jr.'s book ALL LINES NORTH OF RALEIGH (1991 Carter Printing, Richmond Va), there's a decent photo of the Boykins depot trackside taken in 1964. On the same page is a photo of a steam-powered train coming through (no date), although it doesn't show the depot. Hope this helps. Bob Venditti.

I personally do not have any photos, but in H.Reid's book"Extra South"there is a picture of a Seaboard passenger train passing the terminus of the branch. Hope this helps. Scott
