Will Canada Survive the Fiscal Rollover

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Well, with only hours left until Fiscal 2000 in Canada and New York State, will their little part of the world continue?

I say this only with a little of my tongue in my cheek. Since my family has done a lot of preparation, it almost seems as if there would be an emotional let-down if tomorrow is a yawner.

So what do you think? After Home Depot went through their fiscal 2000 apparently unscathed as well as K Mart, I keep waiting for some proof of the problem, where is it?

When will we see real damage, and, can we extrapolate anything from the failures (or successes) of tomorrow, April 6th, July 1st and 9/9/99?

Brian,

Dontcha just _hate_ it when one little teeny thing like an extra space makes a big difference in what you were trying to accomplish?

Sorta like failing to consider that "99" + 1 = "00" when the field holds only the least significant two digits ...

Thank goodness.
