Re: Status Report : Y-to-K Modifications

Y-to-K team has completed the planned 18 month project on time and on budget.

Team has gone through every line of code in every program in every system. We have analyzed all databases, all data files, including backups and historic archives, and modified all data to reflect the change.

We are proud to report that we have completed the Y-to-K data change mission and have now implemented all changes to all programs and all data to reflect new standards.

Modified code includes the following examples:

Januark, Februark, March, April, Mak, June, Julk, August, September, October, November and December.

Sundak, Mondak, Tuesdak, Wednesdak, Thursdak, Fridak, Saturdak.

Some team member did not understand the sense of this project but we understand that Y-to-K is a global problem and our team was happy to be of service. By the way, what does the Year 2000 have to do with all of this. Speaking of which, what does Management think we ought to do next year when the two digit year rolls over from 99 to 00. We await your direction.

Y-to-K Director, Mark Koung (Formerly Mary Young)

It was funny the first time we read it here. Pretty funny the second and third times. Wearing a bit thin until about the seventh time it was posted. Now, many times later, somehow the humor has dissapeared!

It was a nice try though Ginny. Sometimes these guys get a little touchy because they spend so much time here. But generally they are a pretty supportive bunch. But so many more people are coming here now that sometimes posts get posted 3 and 4 times each. It is hard to keep up with them all. Hope you keep posting.

Very late to the table Ginny. You probably have 2 or 3 days of extra food by now. Keep going.
