Was April 1 a bad day for the Panama Canal?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Been trying to get an update on the canal y2k status and the website is F.U.B.A.R. Can anyone else get anything from their site? It worked when I checked a week or so ago, so now I'm wondering if their server got tweaked by the April 1 date. The canal is actually managed by a business, but now I can't get the name of it to find out if they just had a rollover. Any help out there?http://www.pancanal.com/

Is it just my computer, or are you guys having trouble with that page too? Please inform. Thanks.

I got to it without a problem. Maybe your ISP was having a problem.

R.D.Thanks, but after you got to it, were you able to get anywhere with their links? Please try again, thanks!

Yep...problems there. It's 11:40 pm est, The page loaded, said it was done, but it was only about half loaded. I hit reload and it froze. Had to do a CTL/ALT/DEL. Tried it again...still half-loads, said applet started then stopped again.Y2K? Probably not.
