Efke R100 in D-76 1:1?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

I just got my hands on a couple of rolls of this film to try in a beautiful little Yashica 44. I've seen listings for ADOX Efke films, but never for "R100". Has anybody developed this film in D-76 1:1? I'm curious about a good baseline developing time. Since other "old tech" 100-speed films in D-76 1:1 run the gamut from pretty short (PX, 7 min at 68) to pretty long (APX 100, 13 min at 68) I need a clue as to where this film fits on the continuum. Thanks!

The tec rep at Ilford says that D76 is the same basic formula as ID11. Efke shows a development time of 6 minutes with ID11 full strength, I've used that with D76 and had good results. Don't know about 1:1, you'll need to do a little extrapolating there. Pretty good film by the way, am using to keep my Yashica 44 running.

In case you like to try XTOL for EFKE R100, I got nice results: EI 50, XTOL 1 + 1, 20 deg. C, 8.5 minutes.
