The finals are marked and the total marks are already passed to the faculty for approval. As you may know, the departmental regulations does not allow me to inform you of your total mark before faculty's approval. You will be informed directly by the department.
The following adjustments are made to your lab and total marks:
-All the marks for lab2 and lab4 are curved up by 1 mark for each lab.
-For those who did better on the final than midterm (i.e. final > 2*midterm), the final mark replaced the midterm for calculationg the total.
-All 49s, 59s, 69s, and 79s are boosted up to 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.

THE AVERAGES AFTER above adjustment:
LAB1: 9.9
LAB2: 7.4
LAB3: 7.8
LAB4: 7
LAB5: 8.2
Quizes: 7.5
Midterm: 63%
Final: 59%
Total: 66% (subject to faculty's approval)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the average for the class is supposed to be at least 70%... isn't our average a bit on the low side?

Just wondering...??

The regulations in the department does not dictate any lower (or upper) limit for mark averages in a class.
