How long does it take for a bank to repo a home once they start the paperwork?

Answers

Varies. Several weeks usually - the courts need time to set a hearing date. That period varies around the country and with the caseload.

In my experience from issuing possession hearing to bailiffs changing the locks it takes anything from 3 to 6 months, depending on how busy the court is and whether Christmas intervenes.
