"The Incredible Shrinking Liberal Media"

After reading this article, I thought that as far as I'm concerned any news information that I encounter from television, radio or newspapers is, more than likely, biased. They can poll as many people as they want - but the results, in my opinion, would not be very reliable.

Remember, all those reporting the news work for people who are interested in making money. Reporters try to dig up more that we need to know. They are trying to attract as many viwers as they can.

All the news from every media source should be taken with a grain of salt.

Hi Tim: How would you apply this article to the classroom? Do we as educators have a responsibility to help our students develop filters for interpreting the news? How far should we go in this type of a discussion? I would be interested in your thoughts. Thanks, John Hansen
