OFF-TOPIC: PLEASE ADVISE ME

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I apologize in advance for the question that follows being unrelated to the subject for which this forum was created. If you choose to respond to my request for guidance, please do so at my e-mail address.

I wish to compose a rather lengthy post on this forum. How may I do so, "off-line" with my word processor, and then after having edited it to my satisfaction (a frustratingly elusive goal), only then "posting" it on this forum?

Thank you all in advance for your time and trouble.

Try cut/copy and paste. There may be a better way but it works (I don't know how long your "highlighted selection" can be however). Good luck and thanks for your thoughtful (and thought provoking!) posts.

Yep, copy and paste.

If you are using Word, after you are ready,

Click EDIT

Click SELECT ALL

Click EDIT, COPY, or the COPY icon, or CONTROL-C

Then paste it to the "Answer" box

Dave

I have learned the sorry lesson that you must press return twice to create a space. This has been the most common problem in my mind. Of course often I use a HTML editor to get it just right if need be. And yes your comments should be continued.

Good Luck
