Photo Paper for PhotoSmart Printer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

What other brands of photo printer paper work well in the HP Photosmart printer? Is HP's paper really the best for this printer? I know they push it for their printer.

Anyone know of a good place to buy HP Photosmart photo paper (or other brands) IN BULK ? Seems like a financial sink hole to purchase multiple small packages, ~20 sheets per package.

Thanks, Deborah

I've tried the Kodak paper. It works well too.
The Photosmart paper is very good paper - but you are right - it's expensive.
I purchased a 100 sheet pack of "photosmart" paper on eBay. It wasn't - it was HP Premium High Gloss paper - NOT photosmart. It doesn't work. It's a mess.
I'd love to see if anyone has knowledge of where to buy photosmart paper in bulk....

Hi, The best, most economical paper is Epson's PHOTO paper. Do not confuse this with their Photo QUALITY paper which is different. The part #is S041141. It is cheapest at buycomp.com ($5.95 for 20) The Kodak paper pools ink when viewed from an angle. It's fine head-on. Regards, Howard

I had good luck getting the HP PhotoSmart Gloss 4x6 in. paper from buy.com. The price was ~20% less than Fry's.

I like the Kodak. Have seen it onthe net for $17.00 per pack of 50 (plus shipping). Best computer show price I've seen (west coast) is around $23.00.

ps... there is another I've tried but off hand I can't think of the name. I belive is says recycled on it, comes in a bluist pack (of 30) and has a shark or something on it. I like it 2nd to kodak.

I've had really good results on the AGFA photo paper (at least as good as results with the HP paper). Another nice feature is that it is matte on one side and glossy on the other (take your choice).

This paper seems to be able to take an incredible ink load
