Are people interested in moving to y2-k preparedness retreat?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

We are looking for new members who are willing to move to our preparedness location in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. We have 40 acrea paid off, with good well, pump, generator water storage system. There is no outside power or phone to our place. Plenty of hardwood trees for building, heating and cooking are available. We are open to all religions and races. We are not "militia" or a "commune". If you have any questions, please e-mail us.

K. We too will move to the Ozarks, have a small homestead there. Our relocation isn't y2k driven, just looking for a more sane life. Where will you folks be (which county??). Maybe we can meet up. I'd love to hear your plans and I will email when we know a bit more. Sorry I can't say more at this time. sheep

K. Valentine,

We currently have no plans for bugging out before the storm, but I'd like to keep in touch, refer interested people, and stop by for a visit if time allows and you like to have visitors. My geography is quite bad. The Ozarks are where? How do you plan to organize your community? Would you take in people in the aftermath of the storm?

Sincerely, Stan Faryna

K. Vantine:

Thank for the info. I'd look into it if not already setup here in Texas.

Good Luck

Stan,

Don't worry. I happen to own forty acres within a reasonable drive of your neck of the woods. If you'd feel safer, I'll give you a key to the gate (private road). There are few improvements, but there will be a tool shed and privy installed this summer. It is rather remote and it will be cold on the eve of December 31st. I suggest more civil surroundings to ring in the New Year.

Regards,
