French Deco artist Serge Gladky : LUSENET : Art Deco Society of Washington : One Thread

I am looking for information on French graphic artist Serge Gladky active in Paris 1920's and 30's. Particularly interested in any info on a portfolio created in 1932 called Point de Vue which held 17 poichoir prints. Any help on learning more will help. Thanks.

Stephanie, I have no information to offer ,however I own two prints from that series marked 35/300 and I am curious if you discovered any interesting info. Thank you Vincent

I happen to own the full series of prints. They are quite interesting anf I have enjoyed them for many years. It was published in 1937, one of the prints has that number as its main theme.

I own two prints as well, also numbered 35/300. Would appreciate any info on the artist! Thanks!

I own 2 complete portfolios by Gladky:

Nouvelles Compositions Decoratives: 2 volumes of 48 plates each - colored by pochoir. The first series contains the most abstract designs, inspired mainly by technological forms, whereas in the second series the influence appears to come predominantly from the natural world, particularly insects and birds.

Motifs Decoratifs - a very small (2.4 by 4.4") portfolio of 6 plates colored by pochoir. Along the same lines as the first volume of the other portfolio.

I collect art nouveau and art deco portfolios. I would love to correspond or trade with other collectors. I am assembeling quite a large collection (nearly 100 complete or nearly complete portfolios).

Hello! While doing some research online I came across this page. We're listing a complete set of Gladky's 'Nouvelles Compositions Decorative, 2me Serie' on eBay (December 29, 2003). It's getting increasingly hard to find complete sets and this one even has an extra plate laid in (plate 16). The auction should be up later today EST.
